MAHEC Sports Medicine in Asheville provides comprehensive services including nonsurgical orthopedic treatments and general sports medicine care. Our number one goal is to keep you healthy and active.

Our assessment clinic supports adults and young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, their families, and primary care providers.

MAHEC’s family health centers can now treat Hepatitis C, a chronic liver infection that can lead to liver damage, cirrhosis, and liver cancer and is the leading cause of liver transplants.

Our Family Health Center can now treat patients living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in our integrated primary care practice. While there is no cure, HIV can be controlled with medications, and people living with HIV can have a life expectancy equal to someone without HIV.

MAHEC Family Health Centers offer Medical Nutrition Therapy including nutrition counseling and education at our Biltmore location. Our experienced Registered Dietitian, Fred Stichel MS, RD, LDN is available to work with you to achieve your health goals.

MAHEC is excited to offer a Gender Health Clinic to provide care for transgender and gender non-binary (TGNB) patients in a safe and affirming environment. Our interdisciplinary team will provide gender-affirming care, including hormone therapy, to promote the overall well-being for trans and non-binary adults in Asheville.

The MAHEC Family Health Center offers No-Scalpel Vasectomy consultations and procedures for patients who are sure they want a permanent form of birth control.
