Library Science

To meet the information needs of health and human service professionals who practice in MAHEC’s 16 counties, our Department of Library Science has evolved from having a print-based library space, to providing “just in time” virtual access where and when our customers need information.

On our MAHEC Biltmore Campus, librarians are now embedded within departments, programs, and residencies. Being integrated into clinical and programmatic teams, librarians develop strong relationships with providers and administrators that enhance our ability to meet specific information needs, support departmental goals, and target information delivery.
