An Acting Internship Supplemental Program for Visiting Students in Medicine
We inspire and equip the next generation of healthcare professionals and expand access to care for all. We are pleased to offer financial support through this program to our Acting Internships. We appreciate your interest in our residency programs and look forward to working with you.
Community engagement opportunities are available if you are interested during one afternoon per week (with the exception of FMME 421, which will only have three weeks due to a night float component of this rotation).
We seek to work with you regarding your interests to allow us to best coordinate these experiences on your behalf, if you choose to participate.
Examples of opportunities:
Housing in Asheville & Hendersonville via AHEC Housing will be provided free of charge for up to 30 days. Submit a housing request
$750.00 will be awarded to students when they arrive for their rotation.
We recognize there may be challenges in navigating the different components of residency. From moving to a new city, to considering the communities you will serve and the team members you will interact with at a new organization. We are committed to providing full support from our faculty, staff, and community stakeholders to ensure you have the most pleasant experience possible.
