Salary and Benefits

MAHEC Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs offer the following salaries and benefits for residents and fellows.

2024-2025 PGY1: $59,166 PGY2: $61,171 PGY3: $63,288 PGY4: $65,603 PGY5: $69,939 PGY6: $72,400 PGY7: $72,800

All ACGME Residents/Fellows will receive:

  • 15 days of paid leave
  • 5 days of leave between Thanksgiving and New Years
  • 10 days of leave protected for trainee health and well-being
  • 3 days of bereavement
  • 15 days of GME Supplemental Leave for FMLA approved events
  • 5 days of leave for education (interview days and/or conference days)

Dental Residents will receive:

  • 10 days of paid leave
  • 10 days of leave protected for trainee health and well-being
  • 3 days of bereavement
  • 15 days of GME Supplemental Leave for FMLA approved events
  • Stipend for orientation before residency starts
  • Financial support for education (travel, conference registration, books, education materials, study materials for board exams, etc.)
