This program is designed to prepare the school nurse for success in the National Board Certification Exam. It will cover essential subjects to empower school nurses with the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence for the exam. Delivery will be through a Learning Management System, facilitating active participant involvement. Over a 12-week period, participants will have access to study materials, practice questions, and resources allowing for ample time for review of challenging content.
The program comprises eight modules, each containing 120 minutes of material, which can be completed at the participant's own pace and in any order they choose.
Approximate time to complete the course: 16 hours (2 hours per module)
Learner content includes: Videos, handouts, quizzes, and other resources
Participants have 12 weeks to complete this course and access course materials.

The Mountain Area Health Education Center designates this entire online continuing education activity as meeting the criteria for 1.6 CEUs as established by the National Task Force on the Continuing Education Unit.

MAHEC has a pay-up-front policy for all CE programs. The only exceptions will be for pre-approved programs where an individual payment plan is appropriate. Registrations received without accompanying payment will not be processed and participants who have not paid the course fee will not be admitted into the program.
