In this module we will focus on the effective use of mindfulness tools to help people manage their pain and improve their quality of life. We'll talk about what mindfulness is and will provide robust supporting evidence of the usefulness of these interventions. Learners will develop skills in visualization, imagery, breathing, grounding, and other techniques that their clients can use to better manage their persistent pain. Additional tools such as increasing activity level, pleasant activity scheduling, sleep hygiene, and stress management will round out the learning that participants will experience.

It is suggested that you take Chronic Pain Module 1: Foundations of Pain Treatment prior to taking this module, but it is not required.
