As North Carolina Medicaid moves to Tailored Care Management, care managers and others will need to know the ins and outs of obtaining benefits for members. Determining eligibility, obtaining the documentation, and knowing how to navigate this complex system can be difficult. This training will cover a range of topics, from Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) to Medicare and Medicaid. We will review eligibility requirements and coverage options as well as what documentation is needed to apply for these benefits. Additionally, we will discuss low-cost/no-cost programs that can be used along the way, and state services that may be available. This program will provide myriad resources that will assist in getting eligible recipients the benefits they need.
