Living Independent Program - Home and Transportation Assessment Training
Available through Jun 30, 2027 Open Allied Health Public Health

Description
The Land of Sky Regional Council, the WISH Collaborative, and Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) are pleased to announce a special 2-hour training for Community Health Workers (CHWs).
The training will cover two topics that can make a big difference in the lives of CHW clients: How to Improve Home Safety and Accessibility and How to Coordinate Essential Transportation Services. We know that many CHW clients live in homes that pose safety risks and make it difficult to conduct many activities of daily living. CHW clients are often challenged to travel within the community for regular errands as well as for health care appointments. This training will provide participants with information and tools to help CHWs better serve the housing and transportation needs of their clients.
