As North Carolina Medicaid moves to Tailored Care Management, Care Managers, Supervisors, and Care Extenders will need to know the ins and outs of obtaining benefits for members. Determining eligibility, getting the documentation, and knowing how to navigate this complex system can be difficult.

This 1.5 hour training will cover a range of topics, from Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) to Medicare and Medicaid. We will review eligibility requirements and coverage options as well as what documentation is needed to apply for these benefits. Additionally, we will discuss low-cost/no-cost programs that can be used along the way and state services that may be available for individuals without benefits that may be available. This program will provide numerous resources that will assist in getting eligible recipients the benefits they need.
