Objectives:
Advancing Colorectal and GI Cancer Screening
• Understand the importance of early detection in colorectal and non-colonic GI malignancies.
• Review current screening guidelines, high-risk populations, and emerging diagnostic techniques.
Understanding and Managing Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH)
• Define MASH, its prevalence, risk factors, and progression to fibrosis.
• Explore current diagnostic methods and treatment options.
Gastrointestinal Health Disparities in Diverse Populations
• Examine genetic, environmental, and cultural factors influencing GI health disparities.
• Discuss strategies to improve access to care and health outcomes in heterogeneous populations, including LGBTQ and ethnic groups.
Comprehensive Approaches to GERD
• Differentiate GERD, functional heartburn, and laryngopharyngeal reflux.
• Explore the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of GERD, including dietary and pharmacologic management.
Malabsorption Syndromes: Diagnosis and Management
• Identify common malabsorptive conditions, including celiac disease, enzyme deficiencies, and pancreatic insufficiency.
• Discuss diagnostic approaches and personalized treatment strategies.
Chronic Constipation and Treatment-Resistant Cases
• Define primary vs. secondary constipation and review diagnostic criteria.
• Evaluate treatment options, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic approaches for refractory cases.
Optimizing Outpatient Management of Cirrhosis
• Review management of complications such as portal hypertension and hepatic encephalopathy.
• Discuss screening for hepatocellular carcinoma, dietary interventions, transplantation referrals, and surgical risk assessment.
Understanding Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE)
