Join us for a dynamic and engaging professional development event tailored for school nurses! The SNANC Education Day and MAHEC School Nurse Competency Workshop offer a unique opportunity to enhance your skills, expand your knowledge, and connect with fellow nursing professionals.

This comprehensive workshop will focus on core competencies, evidence-based practices, and the latest updates in school nursing. Attendees will gain practical tools and strategies to effectively address student health needs, improve outcomes, and promote a healthier school environment.

Objectives

Upon completion of this knowledge and skill-based program participants will:

check Identify effective strategies for supporting students with dysautonomia in a school setting
check Discuss how 504 plans can be applied to students with mental health disorders
check Perform a focused ear assessment
check Understand implications in the school setting for various cardiac conditions
check Evaluate evidence-based treatments and strategies for managing ADHD in educational environments
check Identify effective strategies for supporting a student who is pregnant
check Perform a focused respiratory assessment
check Understand how to identify Disordered Eating (DE) and Eating Disorders (ED)

Cancellation Policy

MAHEC has a pay-up-front policy for all CE programs. The only exceptions will be for pre-approved programs where an individual payment plan is appropriate. Registrations received without accompanying payment will not be processed and participants who have not paid the course fee will not be admitted into the program.

Unless otherwise noted in course materials, the following cancellation policy applies to all programs:

  • Cancellations must be in writing (fax, email, or mail).
  • Cancellations received more than 2 weeks prior to the event will receive 100% refund.
  • Cancellations received between two weeks and two full business days prior to the first day of the event are refunded at 70% of the registration fee subject to a minimum $25 cancellation fee.
  • No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than two full business days prior to the event.
  • No vouchers will be issued in lieu of a refund.
  • Transfers/substitute(s) are welcome (please notify us in advance of the program).
