This event will enable our preceptors to continue to build and increase their understanding of best clinical teaching practices within the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship curriculum model in medical education. Come for an evening of learning and connecting!

Objectives
- Describe the importance of critically examining the inclusion of race in medical algorithms/tools from both EBM and equity perspectives
- Identify at least one commonly used medical algorithm that includes race as a clinical modifier
- Describe an approach to assessing the validity of race-based correction factors in algorithms and clinical decision-making tools
- Identify and practice techniques for highlighting and explicating race-based medicine concepts to learners
- Describe the importance of understanding unconscious and unexamined bias in medical contexts
- Explain the "bias circuit," the pathway by which unconscious bias manifests in decision making
- Describe one approach to reducing bias in medical decision making
- Describe one approach to reducing bias in organizational cultures
