Live TCM Refresher: Breathe Easy NC – Becoming Tobacco-Free

Description

As part of the NC Medicaid Transformation, all physical and behavioral health facilities that contract with Standard and Tailored Plans must be tobacco-free by April 1, 2023. Are you interested in supporting your behavioral health organization in going tobacco-free and expanding tobacco use treatment supports? Do you need assistance in taking the next steps around policy and implementation? In this refresher program, you will learn from experts how to successfully transition your facility and enhance your tobacco cessation treatment services. This training will prepare clinicians to integrate into their practice the most up-to-date standard-of-care for tobacco use treatment, which can double or triple their patients'/clients' chances of success. The course instructors will discuss evidence-based medication and counseling strategies, as well as considerations for treating e-cigarette use and treating any tobacco use during pregnancy and lactation.

This class is part of the 20+ hours of "refresher" content for year two of Tailored Care Management! This content will be available to you in 2 formats.
