Dental Infection Control - Procedures Refresher for the CDA
Oct 13, 2022 Closed Dentistry

Description
Controlling the spread of infectious disease is sometimes as simple as washing your hands, but often requires specialized techniques and procedures. This 2-hour lecture/interaction-based course prepares you to take on infection control in your office in a systematic way and will serve as a refresher for some members of the dental healthcare team.
This educational activity is a hybrid event, so available to attend on-site at MAHEC or virtually by Webex.
*Note: While open to all dental team members, this course is tailored to meet the new infection control credits required of CDAs by DANB: As of Jan 1, 2016, all CDAs, whether they hold one or more DANB certifications, must earn a minimum of two Continuing Dental Education (CDE) credits in infection control topics annually. These two CDE credits are in addition to any federally mandated OSHA Blood borne Pathogens Standard training.

Certified Dental Assistants (CDAs), Other dental team members such as Dentists, DA IIs and Dental Hygienists are welcome to attend.
