Basic Telemetry Interpretation for RNs
Dec 31–Dec 14, 2022 Closed Nursing

Description
This 4.5 hour introductory course for RNs, nursing students, and telemetry technicians will review the electrical conduction system of the heart, evaluate the components of a telemetry strip, teach participants a step by step process for identifying cardiac rhythms on telemetry monitors, and discuss common treatment for abnormal rhythms. This class focuses on atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, lethal rhythms, and first, second and third degree heart blocks. Simulation will also be used in this class to focus on the identification and treatment of abnormal cardiac rhythms at the patient's bedside. This class is ideal for nurses who are re-entering the workforce, those who are new to cardiac rhythm interpretation, or those looking to brush up on their telemetry skills. Please note, this is not a 12 lead EKG class.
