Overview of National Professional Medical Interpreter Certification Exams

Description

Now offered in a blended format (home study elements with a short live webinar)!

This half-day workshop compares/contrasts the two main medical interpreter certification exams currently offered at the national level (CCHI and IMIA's National Board) and includes a review of sample written exams from both.

Note: Participants must register by July 28, 2020, so that the course materials can be accessed in time.

Please note: The classes in this series are not interchangeable with those in the Cross-Cultural Communications, LLC (CCC) Interpreter Series offered in January and February 2020.

Forty hours of medical interpreter training is one of the pre-requisites to take the National Medical Interpreter Certification Examination. The first four courses in this series, combined, fulfill this part of the requirement.
