20NE027 - LPN Symposium 2020: Back to the Basics

In light of the COVID-19 outbreak and to protect the safety and well-being of all involved with the LPN Symposium 2020, this event has been canceled.

You are invited to attend the 3rd Annual LPN Symposium at the Mountain Area Health Education Center's (MAHEC) Mary C. Nesbitt Biltmore Campus.

This year's event will address relavent topics that take us "Back to the Basics" of clinical practice. This symposium will address current and essential topics related to the LPN in all clinical settings. Topics will include an update on the National Opioid Crisis, information related to Hepatitis C, how to effectively manage pain with your patients and residents, defining the differences between the valuable services of Hospice vs Palliative Care, and closing the event with a necessary topic on Active Shooter Preparedness in our work setting. We hope to see you at this important symposium!

Target Audience

LPNs, RNs, Directors of Nursing, Nursing Home Administrators and all other interested individuals

Objectives

  • Describe the causes and treatments for hepatitis C
  • Define evidence-based pain management approaches for your patients and residents
