Upon completion of this knowledge-based educational activity, the participant will be able to:

Describe the current epidemiological landscape of the infectious implications of drug use in North Carolina |

Identify and develop collaborations with other area providers working with drug users along the spectrum of care. |

Discuss 3 different ways a patient may use drugs and describe how to develop a treatment plan with that mechanism of use in mind. |

Develop clinic practices that promote a nonjudgmental clinical atmosphere that actively engages and retains patients in care who use drugs |
MAHEC has a pay-up-front policy for all CE programs. The only exceptions will be for pre-approved programs where an individual payment plan is appropriate. Registrations received without accompanying payment will not be processed and participants who have not paid the course fee will not be admitted into the program.
