This training equips Care Managers with a clear understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and how they differ from trauma, while exploring the lasting impacts of childhood adversity on the brain, behavior, and long-term health outcomes.
Participants will build practical skills for explaining ACEs and trauma sensitively and effectively during comprehensive care management assessments. The training also emphasizes self-care strategies to help Care Managers protect their own mental health and reduce the risk of vicarious trauma during difficult disclosures.
In this training, Care Managers will learn practical, strengths-based strategies to help families build resilience, increase stability, and better support children with complex needs. Participants will explore collaborative, family-first approaches that transform crisis response and promote safety, dignity, and long-term success.
