This zoom-based webinar is geared towards Community Health Workers throughout North Carolina. It is a free webinar that provides continuing education, networking and sharing your successes in your programs. This webinar has been running for three years online on the third Thursday of the month. We ask you to register for this whole series. This webinar series is funded by North Carolina Area Health Education Centers Program Office (NC AHEC) a partner supporting the NC CHW Initiative (NC CHW) at the state level in collaboration with the NC Office of Rural Health (NC ORH) and other stakeholders.

The "Empowering Connections for CHWs" sessions are scheduled from 12:00noon - 1:15pm on the following dates:

Audience

Community Health Workers in North Carolina

Objectives

	To build a collaborative peer learning environment for Community Health Workers
	To increase engagement of community health workers using statewide platforms and decrease barriers with client referrals for meeting social determinants of health needs
	To network and get support for CHW programs

	To provide resources that can improve access to healthcare services
	To increase health knowledge and self-sufficiency through a range of activities such as outreach, community education, informal counseling, and social support and advocacy

Cancellation Policy

MAHEC has a pay-up-front policy for all CE programs. The only exceptions will be for pre-approved programs where an individual payment plan is appropriate. Registrations received without accompanying payment will not be processed and participants who have not paid the course fee will not be admitted into the program.

Unless otherwise noted in course materials, the following cancellation policy applies to all programs:

Cancellations must be in writing (fax, email, or mail).
Cancellations received more than 2 weeks prior to the event will receive 100% refund.
Cancellations received between two weeks and two full business days prior to the first day of the event are refunded at 70% of the registration fee subject to a minimum $25 cancellation fee.
No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than two full business days prior to the event.
No vouchers will be issued in lieu of a refund.
Transfers/substitute(s) are welcome (please notify us in advance of the program).
