This BLS - Skills Practice & Testing registration is for participants who completed Part 1 Online at the American Heart Association website. Bring your certificate of completion to your selected appointment time.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Target Audience

RN, LPN, CNA, CMA, MD/DO, Dental Staff, Pharmacists, EMT/EMS/Paramedic, and all other healthcare providers

Objectives

  • Describe the importance of high quality CPR and its impact on survival
  • Recognize the signs of someone needing CPR
  • Perform 1-rescuer and 2-rescuer adult, child and infant CPR
  • Demonstrate the use of an AED
  • Perform techniques for relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for a responsive and unresponsive adult, child and infant
