- Any participants who do not complete the individual courses by October 14 will have to take Bundle 1 and Bundle 2 to complete their TCM training.
- As of July 15th, All new hires and hires returning to the field will have to take the bundled courses even if they are only missing 1 or 2 courses

July 2021 marked the start of NC Medicaid Transformation with the transition to Standard Care Plans. NC DHHS has begun the process of preparing for Tailored Care Management (TCM) to launch in December 2022. To prepare for this, DHHS has developed partnerships with North Carolina Area Health Education Center (NC AHEC) to provide practice support, technical assistance, and continuing professional development to help Tailored Care Management providers who have applied and passed the desk review in the transition to Tailored Care Management. The TCM Continuing Professional Development programs are designed to assist TCM candidates with evidenced-based practices in all treatment settings for the successful implementation of TCM.


This program will identify and address barriers to care, including strategies to improve the cultural and linguistic humility of the behavioral health service delivery system. This program will identify and address racial, ethnic, and cultural inequities in the access, availability, and quality of service delivery including LTSS needs, considerations for tribal populations, culturally and linguistically diverse populations, and forms of bias that may affect BH I/DD Tailored Plan members.


Approximate time to complete the course: 2.25 hours

Audience

Administrators and supervisors from advanced medical home+ (AMH+) and care management agencies (CMA) candidates who have applied and passed the desk review for Tailored Care Management, including physicians, nurses and various behavioral health substance use professionals

Objectives

As part of the TCM Continuing Professional Development series, participants will:

check Identify and address racial, ethnic, and cultural inequities in the access, availability, and quality of service delivery.
check Identify and address barriers to care, including strategies to improve the Cultural Humility and Linguistic Humility of the BH service delivery system.
check Discuss Cultural Humility and Linguistic Humility, including long term supports and services (LTSS) needs, considerations for tribal populations, non-white populations, and forms of bias that may affect BH I/DD Tailored Plan members.

This course is not intended for sale. It is only for certified AMH+/CMA TCM providers who have passed readiness review with NCQA. Sharing the discount code or TCM Web Portal with an unapproved agency can result in either agency being billed the stated amount for this course. By registering for this program, participants understand that their contact information may be shared with NC DHHS and the NC BH/IDD Tailored Plans (LME/MCOs). Cancellation Policy

MAHEC has a pay-up-front policy for all CE programs. The only exceptions will be for pre-approved programs where an individual payment plan is appropriate. Registrations received without accompanying payment will not be processed and participants who have not paid the course fee will not be admitted into the program.

Unless otherwise noted in course materials, the following cancellation policy applies to all programs:

  • Cancellations must be in writing (fax, email, or mail).
  • Cancellations received more than two weeks prior to the event will receive 100% refund.
  • Cancellations received between two weeks and five full business days prior to the first day of the event are refunded at 70% of the registration fee subject to a minimum $25 cancellation fee.
  • No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than five full business days prior to the event.
  • No vouchers will be issued in lieu of a refund.
  • Transfers/substitute(s) are welcome (please notify us in advance of the program).
