Join us at MAHEC this Fall in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, or from the comfort of your own home via Webex, for a one-of-a-kind conference. This program will provide evidence-based information relevant to the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) role. Leading experts and national speakers will examine a multitude of topics such as understanding and reflecting on healthcare data with a health equity lens, safety and pharmacology, legislative issues, and the role of the CNS in transitional care. The innovative strategy of gaming for improving outcomes will be explained in detail, and the role of the CNS in an ambulatory setting will also be described. The day will end with a presentation titled Tapping into Your Entrepreneurial Spirit.
Learning Outcome: Participants will self-assess a gain in knowledge related to the performance of the role of the CNS in diverse settings with a variety of clinical populations. By presenting current evidence in critical and timely topics, attendees will be able to improve their ability to implement core CNS clinical competencies in daily practice.
