Are you challenged to achieve rehab goals in persons living with dementia (PlwD)? Learn successful strategies during this in-person, interactive class from a PT who is a dementia expert!

Participants should wear comfortable lab clothes.

While it is hoped that this class will be offered in-person only, if needed for COVID-19 safety, we may have to pivot it to live webinar only.

Objectives

Upon completion of this lecture and lab-based educational activity, participants will be able to:

  • Apply insight into the brain changes with dementia that impact sensory input
  • Simulate the difficulty in functioning for a PlwD through experiential activities
  • Develop skills of approach and interaction to engage PlwD in therapy activities
  • Create a new plan of treatment design when working with PlwD
