WMC-MAHEC Rural-Focused General Surgery Track
During the five-year residency, residents training in the UNC Health Appalachian Watauga Medical Center - MAHEC Rural-Focused General Surgery Track will complete surgical rotations at Mission, Boone, and other training sites.
While the program continues to take shape, future PGY experiences will include extensive endoscopy, wound care, exposure to urology, burn, Ob/Gyn, in addition to the main track rotations. Below is the first year schedule. Lodging is provided in Boone.
