This lecture/discussion-based class will offer a 2-hour update on local anesthetics injection emergencies for dental hygienists who've completed the full multi-hour local anesthetics training and are certified to administer local anesthetic by infiltration and block methods. This class will fulfill the 2 hours for their maintenance continuing education requirement*. Attend via live webinar.
*From NC SB 146 ". . .Dental hygienists who administer local anesthetics must maintain current CPR training and annually complete two hours of approved continuing education, which shall include a review of local anesthetic technique, contraindications, systemic complications, medical emergencies related to local anesthesia, and a general overview of dental office emergencies. These hours may be among those chosen to satisfy the hours of continuing education otherwise required of licensed dental hygienists in this Article. . ."
