This two-part series equips healthcare and behavioral health professionals with the knowledge and skills to integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) — the gold-standard, first-line treatment for insomnia — into their practice.
Part 1 focuses on the foundations of insomnia and the science behind CBT-I, including how it differs from basic sleep hygiene.
Part 2 offers a practical, hands-on approach using real case examples, assessment tools, and planning strategies to implement CBT-I effectively in primary care and behavioral health settings.

Upon completion of this hands-on course, the participant will be able to:

Describe the circadian clock, as well as the impact of hyperarousal and sleep drive on insomnia |

Incorporate tools for CBT-I such as sleep journals, interview templates, and questionnaires |

Screen, identify, and refer patients who may be good candidates for CBT-I |

Describe treatment planning for CBT-I including special populations such as plans for various life stages, polypharmacy, and other considerations |
