Welcome to the MAHEC Family Health Center at Enka!

MAHEC Family Health Center at Enka is located in the heart of the Enka community and near the neighboring Haywood County communities . Our team offers full primary care for all ages and life stages and would welcome the opportunity to care for you and your family as patients!

If you are an established patient and have a true emergency after hours, please go to your nearest Emergency Department. Please note that we do not prescribe controlled substances on the first visit or after hours.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

• Spanish-speaking team members and care providers
• Family-centered care through all ages and life stages
• Diagnosis and management of acute and chronic medical problems
• Preventive care including Pap smears, pediatric and adult immunizations, and wellness visits
• Family-centered obstetrics including prenatal care, delivery services, and newborn care
• Integrated clinical pharmacy support
• Integrated Behavioral Health
• On-site Laboratory services and X-rays
• On-site retail pharmacy
• Medication for opioid use disorder (sometimes called MAT)
• A variety of minor procedures including skin biopsies and joint/soft tissue injections
• Birth control options including nexplanon, IUDs, and depo-provera
• Sports Medicine Fellowship-trained physician
• 24-hour on-call doctor availability
