Carriedelle Wilson Fusco, MSN, FNP-BC, holds a master’s degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University and is board certified as a family nurse practitioner. Carriedelle joined the MAHEC Family Medicine Residency program in Asheville in 2012 and works with an interdisciplinary team to care for patients with chronic pain on chronic opioid therapy and patients struggling with opioid addiction and other substance use disorders. She also teaches medical, nursing, and pharmacy students; medical residents; other learners; and community providers in the management of chronic pain and substance use disorders. Carriedelle is the co-medical director for office-based opioid treatment services at MAHEC Family Health Centers.

Karen Hilbert is a native of Pennsylvania, but has spent her entire medical career in the South. She graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with her Bachelors of Science Degree in nursing. Her first love was labor and delivery and began her career in that field shortly after graduation. After several years as a labor and delivery nurse in several tertiary care hospitals, she pursued her Master’s Degree in nursing from the Medical College of Virginia. She subsequently was Board Certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. After working in Northern Virginia, Raleigh, NC, Mt. Pleasant, SC and Greenville, SC she joined MAHEC Women’s Care at Brevard in April 2022.
Karen enjoys taking care of women throughout their lifespan and enjoys establishing long term relationships with her patients and catching up on their lives at each appointment. She has a particular fondness for obstetric patients due to her extensive labor and delivery experience. She enjoys teaching patients about their health so they are active participants in their wellbeing. During her free time, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and grown twin children. She enjoys reading, cross stitching, photography, gardening and traveling to visit her extended family in Pennsylvania.

Katie Lillethun joined MAHEC OB/GYN Specialists in September 2018. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner who provides full-scope care for women of all ages. Katie received her Masters of Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from East Tennessee State University and her Bachelors of Science Nursing Degree at Eastern Kentucky University. She also has a degree in English and Film from Emory University. Before joining MAHEC, Katie worked in primary care for more than six years with Hot Springs Health Program in Madison County. She was a nurse for many years at Mission Hospital Emergency Department Level II Trauma Center before returning to school for her Masters’ Degree. Katie’s passion has always been Women’s Health and she enjoys caring for women of all ages. In her spare time, she’s typically engaging in an outdoor activity with her husband and her two young boys.

Heather Miracle is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, which means that she can diagnosis and treat women throughout their pregnancies and throughout their lifespan―from adolescence to old age. Many women choose to have a nurse practitioner as their primary provider for things like Pap smears, breast exams, and other routine gynecologic services, as well as prenatal care. Heather has a special interest in pregnant patients who have diabetes. She is originally from eastern Pennsylvania and has lived in the Midwest, but has happily settled in Asheville with her family where they enjoy an active outdoor life in the mountains.

LeAnne Roberts is a family nurse practitioner who believes in focusing on the whole person when caring for her patients. She is passionate about understanding the needs and preferences of each individual and tailoring patient-centered care to meet those needs. Building relationships in healthcare is important to LeAnne. Her experience includes managing and setting goals to improve chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and obesity to name a few. LeAnne's special interests include working closely with families from visit to visit to achieve their health goals emphasizing wellness, managing chronic diseases, and providing care and support through illness.

Candie Moore MSN, APRN GNP BC is a board certified Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her post master’s graduate degree from St. Louis University and has over 25 years experience working with the elderly. Candie has provided primary care to the frail elderly in multiple settings including: Acute Care, Memory Care, Palliative Care, Hospice Care, Post Acute Care, Long Term Care and Assisted Living. She strongly believes it takes a village to provide quality care to older adults. This philosophy is what drew her to MAHEC and our beautiful mountain community. Candie currently provides primary care at the Deerfield and Givens CCRC’s. She and her husband moved to Black Mountain to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Candie enjoys family, cooking, music, gardening, swimming, boating, fishing and the outdoors.

Angela is a family nurse practitioner who cherishes connections with her patients. She appreciates the complexity and uniqueness of each person. She enjoys a collaborative approach, seeking patients’ input into their care plans. She is passionate about meeting her patients wherever they are in their health journey and enthusiastically empowers them to take an active role in their healthcare decisions. Angela is particularly interested in chronic disease management and lifestyle modifications that offer her patients tools for meaningful, life-long changes. Angela also appreciates end-of-life planning and is dedicated to honoring her patients' health goals and wishes throughout their entire lifespan. Her patients often share feelings of being heard and supported.
