We have a comfortable procedure suite and recovery area where many minor procedures can be safely accomplished. In-office procedures save time and cost for patients when compared to the hospital setting. Together, you and your provider make the decision for an in-office procedure through careful screening. Patients are awake for the in-office procedures, as general anesthesia is not used. You are made more comfortable with local anesthetics, oral, and intravenous medications.

At MAHEC OB/Gyn Specialists, we pride ourselves on delivering patient-centered care. This means that we always consider what is best for our patients and their families by putting their needs first. We understand how valuable your time is, and we recognize that not every visit requires an advanced practice provider or a physician, which is why we created our nurse clinic.
The nurse clinic provides patients with the opportunity to arrive sooner and also serves to reduce or eliminate patient wait times. Our nurses have the support of our medical director and attending physicians to ensure we are providing the safest, most effective care.
Our experienced nurses can see you for the following visits:
The MAHEC Pelvic Pain Clinic provides care to female-bodied patients experiencing lower abdominal and pelvic pain for greater than six months. We are committed to working with you to address the often complex and multifactorial sources of your pain.
Many conditions can contribute to pelvic pain. Pelvic pain can be cyclic (with periods or ovulation) or constant. Often more than one disease process can contribute to chronic pelvic pain and can include gynecologic and non-gynecologic sources. Common gynecologic conditions we treat include:
The MAHEC Vulvar Clinic provides care to women throughout the region with vulvar skin conditions and genital pain. We aim to provide the most evidence based, compassionate care to help you understand your body and how to best approach your return to wellness.
The vulva is the female external genital organ. It is the area bound by a fatty pad covered by hair (the mons), the groins, and the back passage (anus). It has outer lips (labia majora, covered by hair), the inner lips (labia minora, hair-free), and the vaginal opening. The tissue around the vaginal opening is called the vestibule.
(This list is not exclusive. We will work with you to find the cause of your symptoms and most effective treatment plan.)
