The WIC Designated Breastfeeding Expert Quarterly Update will take a deep dive into the Core Curriculum for Interdisciplinary Lactation Care. This session will focus on infant anatomy and physiology for feeding and normal infant behavior.

Objectives
- Describe and assess infant orofacial structures and identify abnormal presentations
- Identify infant reflexes related to feeding
- Describe infant motor functions for sucking and swallowing
- Explain how infant behavior may influence infant-feeding decisions
- Describe the six infant states to parents
- Use infant cues to help a parent understand their infant's physiological needs
