COVID Vaccines: MAHEC community pharmacies at Biltmore and Enka can administer COVID vaccines to patients 7 and older without a prescription (not currently covered by children's Medicaid). Patients 18-64 require a high-risk condition that is documented through a self-attestation form available at the pharmacy. Patients 65 and older do not require an attestation. Walk-ins welcome, but appointments can also be scheduled!

Welcome to MAHEC Health Center at Cullowhee Now Open

Our office in Cullowhee currently offers primary care, ob/gyn care, and behavioral health services.

If you are looking for a primary care provider, Dr. Ernesto De la Torre is welcoming new patients. Ashley Tickle, our behavioral health therapist, is also welcoming new patients but currently only established MAHEC patients qualify for a referral. We will be adding new therapists soon and will then be open to outside referrals. And we are excited to share that we are adding another full time ob/gyn physician in January. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Mobile Registration Process

Our office is pleased to offer patients a convenient and secure way to virtually register for upcoming appointments. Fill out your information on your device and skip the paper forms during your visit! Just remember to check in at the front desk when you arrive.
