This self-paced module examines the current context of substance use disorders in adolescents and young adults. Listeners will identify the added complexities of such cases, while also differentiating them from instances of high-risk substance use. Validated, evidence-based practices for screening and treatment of adolescent SUDs will be reviewed. Lastly, listeners will recognize strategies for the prevention of substance use in adolescents, including advisories for parents and families.
