The January WIC Designated Breastfeeding Expert Quarterly will continue the journey through the Core Curriculum for Interdisciplinary Lactation Care. The presentations this quarter will focus on Nutrition During Lactation and Complementary Child Nutrition.

Objectives
At the end of this presentation, the learner will be able to describe:
- The general nutrition and dietary recommendations for a healthy lactating parent
- Nutritional factors that impact the quality and quantity of breastmilk.
- The general nutritional needs and dietary guidelines for healthy breast/chest fed children after age 6 months.
