Description
The WIC Designated Breastfeeding Expert Quarterly Update will take a deep dive into the Core Curriculum for Interdisciplinary Lactation Care. This session will focus on Lactation Pharmacology and Breast Anatomy and Milk Production.

WIC Designated Breastfeeding Experts working in Region 1 Local WIC Agencies
Objectives
The learner will be able to:
- Discuss factors that impact the level of a drug in human milk with a patient
- Discuss ways to minimize infant medication exposure with a patient
- Discuss breast anatomy and development with a patient
- Explain lactogenesis and milk synthesis to a patient
