Nov 17, 2023 Closed Dentistry

Description
In this lecture/discussion-based educational activity, examine and discuss the effects stress, anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and substance use can have on our mental health and how it may affect our dental practices and our wellbeing. Special emphasis will be placed on ways and ideas that can help us develop and maintain our well-being and mental health in our dental practices and lives. This 3-hour educational activity meets the NC Board of Dental Examiner's biannual requirement of continuing education on substance abuse and mental health for dentists and dental hygienists, as well as the annual safe opioid prescribing continuing education requirement for dentists.
Note: While this is planned to be an in-person only educational activity, if needed for health & safety at the time of the event, it may be pivoted to a webinar.
