This intensive one-day workshop is designed for behavioral health professionals seeking to strengthen their skills in the assessment, conceptualization, and treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

Participants will learn advanced ERP strategies, develop individualized treatment plans, and explore approaches for managing complex and treatment-resistant cases through interactive instruction and breakout activities.

Objectives

Participants will be able to:

check Differentiate the diagnostic features of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) from related and co-occurring mental health conditions using current evidence-based diagnostic criteria
check Develop individualized case conceptualizations that identify obsessive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, avoidance patterns, and reinforcement cycles that maintain OCD symptoms
check Implement advanced ERP interventions to address common treatment challenges, including reassurance-seeking, covert compulsions, family accommodation, and therapy-interfering behaviors
check Evaluate client progress and modify ERP treatment plans using outcome measures, behavioral data, and clinical decision-making strategies to optimize treatment effectiveness
check Conduct a comprehensive assessment of OCD symptoms, severity, functional impairment, and maintaining factors to inform treatment planning
check Apply core Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) principles to design developmentally and clinically appropriate exposure hierarchies for individuals with OCD
check Adapt ERP treatment strategies for individuals presenting with complex or treatment-resistant OCD, including co-occurring anxiety, depression, trauma, or other behavioral health conditions

Cancellation Policy

MAHEC has a pay-up-front policy for all CE programs. The only exceptions will be for pre-approved programs where an individual payment plan is appropriate. Registrations received without accompanying payment will not be processed and participants who have not paid the course fee will not be admitted into the program.

Unless otherwise noted in course materials, the following cancellation policy applies to all programs:

  • Cancellations must be in writing (fax, email, or mail).
  • Cancellations received more than two weeks prior to the event will receive 100% refund.
  • Cancellations received between two weeks and five full business days prior to the first day of the event are refunded at 70% of the registration fee subject to a minimum $25 cancellation fee.
  • No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than five full business days prior to the event.
  • No vouchers will be issued in lieu of a refund.
  • Transfers/substitute(s) are welcome (please notify us in advance of the program).
