Participants will be able to:

Establish clear clinical boundaries and roles among therapists, care managers, parents, and child clients, including best practices for confidentiality and communication |

Identify and apply strategies to engage parents who may be resistant or ambivalent about their involvement in their child's treatment |

|
Navigate common challenges such as working with parents during separation, divorce, or other family transitions using a clinically informed, family systems perspective |

Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
The National Academy of Certified Care Managers (NACCM) certifies that continuing education training provided by a NC Area Health Education Center shall be approved for no more than 15 contact hours for any given Care Manager Certified (CMC) recertification period. MAHEC has a pay-up-front policy for all CE programs. The only exceptions will be for pre-approved programs where an individual payment plan is appropriate. Registrations received without accompanying payment will not be processed and participants who have not paid the course fee will not be admitted into the program.
