Empowering Connections: A Free Webinar Series for Community Health Workers

Empowering Connections is a free, Zoom-based webinar series designed for Community Health Workers (CHWs) across North Carolina. The series takes place on the third Thursday of each month (except the May 28th date) and offers continuing education, professional networking, and a space to share successes in CHW programs statewide.

We encourage you to register once for the full series to stay engaged throughout the year.

check To build a collaborative peer learning environment for Community Health Workers
check To increase engagement of community health workers using statewide platforms and decrease barriers with client referrals for meeting social determinants of health needs
check To network and get support for CHW programs
check To provide resources that can improve access to healthcare services
check To increase health knowledge and self-sufficiency through a range of activities such as outreach, community education, informal counseling, and social support and advocacy

Cancellation Policy

MAHEC has a pay-up-front policy for all CE programs. The only exceptions will be for pre-approved programs where an individual payment plan is appropriate. Registrations received without accompanying payment will not be processed and participants who have not paid the course fee will not be admitted into the program.

Unless otherwise noted in course materials, the following cancellation policy applies to all programs:

  • Cancellations must be in writing (fax, email, or mail).
  • Cancellations received more than two weeks prior to the event will receive 100% refund.
  • Cancellations received between two weeks and five full business days prior to the first day of the event are refunded at 70% of the registration fee subject to a minimum $25 cancellation fee.
  • No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than five full business days prior to the event.
  • No vouchers will be issued in lieu of a refund.
  • Transfers/substitute(s) are welcome (please notify us in advance of the program).
