NC AHEC Nurse Council Presents: The Second Annual Rural Health Nurses Celebration

On Friday November 30, 2018, all nine NC AHECs will host multiple, concurrent conferences for rural nurses working in underserved areas of North Carolina. These conferences will provide support mechanisms for practicing rural nurses by giving opportunities to share clinical, organizational, developmental and emotional experiences with other rural nurses in an environment that will enhance their current knowledge and skills. A keynote speaker will be recorded and the speech broadcast out as the keynote address at each hosting site. The keynote address will link all the regions together setting the theme for the conference; however, each AHEC will offer additional live, on-site presentations that focus on regional topics.

MAHEC will host the event at Blue Ridge Community College Health Sciences Building in Hendersonville, NC and Cherokee Indian Hospital in Cherokee, NC. The conference will focus on providing up-to-date education, CNEs and recognition for Western North Carolina rural nurses working in Tier One counties.
