This interactive mid-day, mid-week educational session explores the innovative Social Bridging NC Toolkit. It will highlight current data on the impact of social isolation and loneliness on health, academic performance, work productivity, stress hormones, diet and sleep patterns, and gene expression. It will also explore the Toolkit's resources, including assessment tools, graphics and other client/patient educational materials.

The toolkit was developed through a partnership between the NC DHHS Division of Aging and the NC Center for Health and Wellness at UNC-Asheville, with funding provided by the Division of Aging.

This educational activity is a collaboration between MAHEC and the NC DHHS Division of Aging.

Participants can attend on-site at MAHEC in Asheville (on-site participants may bring their own lunch, or order/pick up from the on-site café at MAHEC), or via live webinar.
