Patient Information

Thank you for choosing us for your healthcare! MAHEC has been a part of Asheville since 1974 and we proudly continue our tradition of award-winning care. Our physicians, dentists, and pharmacists are faculty of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and would welcome the opportunity to care for your entire family.

In October, Medicaid will send an enrollment packet to persons who are enrolled in Medicaid. This packet will include some very important instructions. Please don’t ignore the enrollment packet if you are enrolled in Medicaid - you will need to complete the enrollment packet to:

• Choose a primary care provider
• Choose a health plan

If you are enrolled in Medicaid, AND you are a MAHEC patient, completing the enrollment packet and choosing your MAHEC primary care provider (PCP) will guarantee that you keep your current MAHEC provider.

MAHEC will be in-network with all of the health plans. If you would like additional information, visit
