Primary Care COVID-19 Collaborative - Video Teleconferencing Series

Description

Management of the global pandemic COVID-19 is the utmost priority for providers on a local, national, and global level. As more cases of COVID-19 are identified in Western North Carolina, we aim to share clinical guidance and best practices among regional providers so that we can be as prepared as possible for our patients. MAHEC is offering a free, region-wide ECHO (Extension in Community Healthcare Outcomes) to promote discussion and best practices among local providers for the screening, diagnosis, and management of our patients with COVID-19 during this pandemic. Our goal during this series is to facilitate virtual case discussion among providers who are diagnosing and managing patients with COVID-19. We aim to complement the available updates from the NC DHHS, CDC, and other resources with region-specific data and clinical guidance for our WNC Providers. All WNC providers are welcome, and we will seek case presentations from those of you who have seen patients diagnosed with COVID-19.

Discussion topics will include:
• Updates and Statistics re: Regional COVID-19 Cases in Western North Carolina
• Updates re: Clinical Workflows, Screening, and Triaging Patients
• Updates re: Testing Availability and Turnaround Time for Results
• Case Discussions
