World Stroke Day is October 29!


Join with healthcare colleagues and stroke survivors/caregivers to consider the many facets of life after stroke. Be among the first in the region to view the powerful stroke film, A Teachable Moment, which will be followed by an interactive discussion panel. Participants will also learn about the spectrum of stroke care services available in the region.

This educational activity is a collaboration between MAHEC and Mission Health (HCA) Neurosciences/CarePartners Health (HCA).

Target Audience

Nurses, OT/OTAs, PT/PTAs, SLPs, Social Workers and other interested healthcare professionals; Stroke Survivors & Caregivers

Objectives

Upon conclusion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

  • Relay common facets of life after stroke to stroke survivors and family/caregivers
  • Discuss the stroke film, "A Teachable Moment" and share relevant information to improve life after stroke for stroke survivors and family/caregivers
  • List the regional spectrum of stroke care services available in Western North Carolina
