19IDSIM042 - Simulation Center Instructor Workshop

Description

Are you currently using or planning to use immersive and simulation-based learning techniques in your teaching?

We invite you to explore how to teach using simulation-based education. Discover why simulation is a technique, not a technology. Learn how to incorporate simulation into learning in your classrooms and communities. Come equipped to learn, understand how simulation learning is different from how you learned in college and gain the necessary tools to lead your students into the future. Learning from an experienced simulation expert, our Simulation Instructor Workshop will provide the skillset necessary to create simulation education activities with evidenced-based learning objectives. Using a mixture of flipped classroom learning, didactics, experiential learning, and small group work, you will learn how to perform the associated needs assessment, develop educational scenarios that reflect the learning objectives, and participate in practical exercises using feedback.
