Observe Parkinson's Awareness Month with interprofessional colleagues to learn the latest on medical management, evidence-based physical rehabilitation and exercise options, as well as palliative care and patient/caregiver perspectives.

Target Audience

Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Nurses, Occupational Therapists & Assistants; Physical Therapists & Assistants; Speech-language Pathologists; persons with Parkinson's Disease and their Caregivers/Family Members

Objectives

  • Cite current medical, non-medical management of and surgical options for Parkinson's Disease
  • Describe evidence-based physical rehabilitation intervention and exercise options
  • Refer to palliative care when appropriate in the disease process
  • Relate patient/caregiver experiences that can impact outcomes
